"Watch Man: Part III", "Once my stance was regained, my gun was retrieved off the attic floor. I walked toward the ladder and stood in the spot the monster was in. When looking down at the floor, I hoped that everything was over. What made me feel like I knew this thing that haunted me? Time I asked myself this, the rotted wood of the old barn gave way. It engulfed me and sent me pounding back first into a mess of rotted wood and dust. My body was riddled in splinters. I would have screamed in agony, but I had no breath left in my body. As I looked up at the broken floor from which I came, the only street light which lit up the barn blew out. There I lay, a filthy, crazy mess with a nearly broken back.

I regained my breath, grabbed my gun again, and made for my car. The darkness was now the monster's accomplice and camouflage. It scared me just as much as the monster did. I tried to run, but I was still catching my breath, so my lungs didn't allow me to. I limped, and felt myself stumbling over scattering rats and cockroaches. I made it to the sanctuary that was my car, started it up, and left before anything else could happen. The last customer would have to wait until the next night. 'Hopefully he's not the crazy type that would try to kill me,' I thought. Besides, there were bigger, scarier things to worry about. At least I could take care of him now that I had my gun.

When in my car, the lights were switched on as I checked my head again to see if it was bleeding anywhere. I left. The further away I got from that barn, the safer I felt. I arrived at my apartment once again. I was, for some reason, so happy and comforted to see people out of their rooms this late. It was nearly one by the time I got back. I went to my room and stayed up basically the whole night picking splinters out of my back. I was also rather scared to sleep as well. I did manage to unwillingly catch about an hour of sleep. I doze off in my desk chair. I could remember my nightmare.

Once I fell asleep, I awoke in an alternate reality, hanging upside down from a rope which was tightly wrapped around my feet. Of course, I tried to free myself. The rope had a thick slime on it that it was covered in. The liquid oozed its way to my face and clogged my nostrils. A quiet voice became audible in the unknown darkness. It grew louder until it was just barely recognizable. It sounded like me! The voice was rambling on about the true definitions of right and wrong. It caught my ear when it started talking about me. It started saying, 'Drug dealing, yes? You are an amusing one. You are worth nothing. You are nothing.' The infamous monster's hypnotic red eyes pierced through the darkness, and grew bigger. It became visible. It looked like the monster, but it had my wretched face. It started up again,'What, are you surprised? You know what I am, you just keep resisting.' I opened my mouth to scream but the substance that filled my nose began to fill that cavity as well. He crouched and whispered calmly, 'Hush, or you'll suffocate.' At this point, I had to empty my mouth of the bitter oozing substance before I could breathe. It said, 'I will kill you next time.' as it crept closer. I noticed he had a knife in its right hand. It pulled my chin down with its left and slit my throat with the knife."
