"Steph's Diary - Part One", "My name is Steph Johansson, I’ve been stuck in this deserted wasteland for about 70 days, with my hope for survival slowly being leeched from me, I decided to create this dairy in which I will write; to keep myself pre-occupied and perhaps, inform you, if of course, any one is left…

Thursday 17th March
Some strange occurrences have been happening lately; in the woods I felt an icy chill, running down my spine as if some…thing was watching me. Must have been imagining things, I’m all alone out here… by myself. I am beginning to sleep with my flashlight facing the tent door, but that’s just paranoia…

Wednesday 23rd March
Today marks my 100th out day out in the wild, with no grasp of civilization. I spent the whole of last night gathering wood the aim to create some actual furniture as a present to myself, but while I was out there, in the forest, I noticed something… In the dim light of the reflected moon I saw a black silhouette on the outskirts of the forestry, something quite lean, quite… slender. Paranoia began to strike again, silently, I crept my way back to the clearing, unconsciously dumping the gathered wood just outside the door; making it impossible for anything to get inside. That night, the nightmares came, relentlessly, waking up every odd hour, turning on my flash, fearful to fall asleep.

Saturday 26th March
I crafted some chairs for relaxation and placed them outside; quite a nice place to write. My flashlight becomes dimmer and dimmer every day, I’m not sure how I’ll be able to sleep without a comforting light, and I’m not sure how much longer I can stand this place… Trying to stay occupied, I attempted to make a fishing rod; using some spider web I found just outside an abandoned mineshaft, pleased with my attempt I went down to the river, avoiding the forest path; taking a bit of a detour. Getting lost in the stimulating pattern of the white water, the sun began to sink below the horizon. Night has become a fearful event; the feeling of loneliness really begins to sink when once your vision goes black, but so does the feeling that… I’m not alone…

Tuesday 22nd April
It’s been a month since my last entry, I’ve come to realize that words are the only thing keeping my sanity… protecting me. A few nights back I had another encounter with this slender creature. I noticed all its limbs seemed to be elongated; he actually looked like a very tall… unnaturally tall human. I couldn’t quite make out any details; his face seemed to be empty of any human features, although that was probably just the blur of the dark… My flash is dead now, light has become a treasured privilege; only to be taken away from me every evening."
