"Lost Ocelot Diaries", "To whoever reads this, I am an Ocelot and I have taught myself to read and write. I am starting this diary to keep record of my life as a cat and soon to be ruler of this world. You see, I have observed the human species, and managed to acquire several books and novels from their homes for study and research. I have also stolen quills and ink for writing books like this one you are reading right now. Well here we are now. In a little under one cat year, I have managed to become fluent in the human language and used my newly developed opposable thumbs to teach myself to write. In a world where my kind is nearly extinct, there must be one cat to save them all. I believe I am that one cat.

This is my first time logging my day and I have to admit it is quite exciting. I have wandered into another small village and I'll stay here for a few days to spy on a nearby nomad. I assume he will come and loot this village tomorrow. I have managed to burrow underneath one of the villager's houses. Quite primitive now that I think of it. Soon enough, however, I will have my day. I won't have to hide from humans because I will rule over them. Until then, this hole will have to do.

It's day two now, and things aren't looking too good. I woke up around 6 to find some breakfast, and to my surprise the human was up too and right in my village. How could I so quickly become so ignorant? I should have checked the perimeter before aimlessly strolling out of my hole. Not only did he spot me, but he also had raw fish, my only weakness. I wondered 'H-How did he know?' as I was magnetized towards him. The funny thing is, I couldn't even run. He must've had some kind of spell over me or something. Like that Wingado-Leviosa spell or something. Or is that Harry Potter? The point is, there was definitely something else going on there, and I don't appreciate it. Now I'm stuck following this thing in hopes he will provide me with more fish for my long journey ahead. After I get some more, I'm out, I swear on my 9 lives. Oh who am I kidding? We don't have 9 lives, just 3. Just 3 measly lives, while in the mean time those degenerate house cats get 9. But I digress. Regardless of any setbacks that may arise, I will still overcome them and rule the world, mark my words.

Day three, and I haven't been given any resources yet. No food, no bedding, nothing. The human just walked out the house disregarding me and the fact that he had 'tamed' (for lack of a better word) such an advanced breed of cat. Quite honestly, I felt insulted. Last night I had to sleep on the ground like some kind of domestic house cat. I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with this guy, though. His interior decorating is appalling! No chairs? And what type of wretchedly cramped shack is only two blocks high? How does he live like this? And dirt on the floor? I mean come on, this isn't a third-world country. He should at least be able to get some nice stained wood. Or carpet? I did see a few sheep on my way here. But overall, living conditions are sub par. My canopy back home was nicer than this. If things don't change when the human gets back from doing God knows what, I'll be forced to loot this shack and on be my way.

Today was a good day. I may not have left the human's dusty tenement, but great events and discoveries did arise. First off, the dog died. Yeah, I didn't know the human had one either, but apparently it stayed in the room next to me. We Ocelots loathe dogs. They're all the same. No breeds. They're as useless as cattle to me, and once I reign over the world, all of them will be exterminated. The only thing that kept me from the bane of my existence was a flimsy wooden door. Anyway, the human which I now call 'man-thing' took the mutt with him for the day. It didn't come back with him. That is more evidence to why my breed is superior to all others. If I or any of my kind was told to follow someone like man-thing to their ultimate demise, they wouldn't go without a fight. Once they left, I found some food and went snooping around the shack. The first thing I did was loot the chests, and boy am I glad I did. Inside was a handful of diamonds just thrown together in the chest along with a whole bunch of other junk. The diamonds are mine now. Why, though, if the human has diamonds, is his house so horribly poor? Oh, rationalizing with humans is impossible, so I'll look past it. But these diamonds will greatly assist my funds and efforts to later rule the world. Tomorrow, I will make my escape.

Yesterday, I took the diamonds, but this morning, problems arose when man-thing. I saw him going for the chest from which I stole the diamonds, so I reacted. I pounced at his head, leaping up almost two blocks (a personal best for me), and started scarring man-thing's head. I fell off him, and while he was stunned, I made my escape, prying the wooden door to the outside open and running as far away from that house as possible. This was a great victory for my kind, and I will go down in history as the first Ocelot Leopardus to escape the evil clutches of the man-thing. Now I'll go and try to meet up with an old friend of mine and we will plan our next step to rule the world.

[Note: The ocelot who wrote in this journal was never heard of again. No more entries were written after the one above. Rumors say that he was apprehended through use of fish and adopted by a couple who loved him unconditionally, to the point where he wanted to stay with them and their abundant resource of fish for the rest of his life.]"
