"1916", "It is late and he is lost. He was to report back to the barracks hours ago. Lost in the dark like a child, he uses his light to shine down the trench. But then it catches his eye. A giant shadow crosses the beam of his light. Now holding his gun in a defensive position, he creeps further down the lane, senses heightened. Flashlights off. Then from behind, a loud screech cracks the silence and sends the soldier sprinting in the opposite direction, dropping his gun, afraid to look behind. He reaches a corner, hides, catches his breath, and peeks around. Thick darkness is all he sees, but not all he hears. Loud, bestial panting grows closer. Out of the dark fog comes the monster. The moon above just barely defines the black being. The horrifying glowing eyes become visible, white hot. Its mass fills the whole cavity of the trench. The soldier starts running again, and heavy rain begins to fall. '...Is that a corpse?' Comes to his mind as he sees a lifeless body leaning against the dirt wall. He has escaped the creature and is taking this opportunity to rest and search the body. The decomposing body. No identification. It did, however, have a note in its right hand which read 'Fiende die leiten'. Find the ladder. The ladder is the only way to get out of the trench and away from what is hunting him.

Search and search he does, until he is pursued again, unknowingly rushing towards the creature. It juts out of the darkness, striking at the man. He can't believe that a dinosaur is what he sees. Petrified, he gets up and flies down the alley, around a corner. The sight of a ladder when he turns the corner brings him hope. He desperately runs towards the ladder, and the apparent dinosaur follows, catching up. He reaches the ladder and starts climbing. It's right behind him now. Two steps up, he hears a crunch, looks down and sees that the lower half of his body has been bitten and ripped off. His torso falls, and collapses to the ground. Blood drains. His last thoughts as he watches his legs be consumed: 'Whatever is happening, 'It's over for me now.'"
